Reverse Engineering

From the prototype to CAD model.
In some industrial sectors it is common practice to deal with objects manufactured without the aid of a CAD model.

This usually happens during the prototype development stage in many mass market products.

Generally speaking, the need to reconstruct the mathematical model of an object using reverse engineering techniques is required when dealing with products that were developed before the advent of CAD or with artistic objects.

Axist uses optical digitisation systems capable of acquiring point clouds using a rapid and accurate system.

Data is processed at a later stage using solid modelling in our technical department.
